Please read this: Important Warning About Email Scams

At any given time, there may be scams circulating via email asking for your user ID and password. They threaten to deactivate your account if you do not comply. These messages are NOT being generated by Crocker Support even if the sender's address appears to be Crocker. Please do not reply to the email, just delete it. If you have questions or concerns contact Crocker Client Support by phone at one of the local numbers listed above or send an email to support@crocker.com.

Remember, Crocker Technicians will never request security information in an email. Please take steps to protect your identity and make sure your family members do the same. You should never send passwords, PINs, Social Security numbers or credit card numbers though email.

Spam Filtering Upgrades Coming

Posted January 1, 2010

In order to provide you with the best email experience possible, we have evaluated our spam and email filtering tools and are implementing a new service to help resolve the growing spam problem.

Over the next several months, Crocker will be migrating email accounts to our new Crocker Enterprise Message Filter powered by Red Condor (CEMF). Your email will be filtered for spam and other dangerous viruses, malware and phishing schemes. The new system detects and captures 99% of all spam and works to ensure your good messages pass through the system uninterrupted.

When the change occurs, we will notify you of how to use the new spam filtering service and tools that help you control your experience.

Please be assured that we consider your continued email security to be of the highest priority and we will continue to offer cutting edge protection for your email account(s).

Click to learn more about CEMF.

We will continue to provide updates on these changes.

Crocker Acquires MAP Internet

February 1, 2010

Matthew Crocker is pleased to announce that Crocker Communications, Inc. has acquired MAP Internet’s client base. Grove Heacock has decided to focus on other endeavors and we wish him well. Ben Granholm, a longtime MAP employee, has accepted an offer to come work at Crocker. Ben started in his position as a Systems Administrator today.

Some of you may not be familiar with Crocker…Crocker Communications is the oldest, local and family owned Internet Service Provider in the Valley. The company began more than 50 years ago as a telephone answering service started by my grandmother.  As technology changed, we diversified, adding Internet Access services 15 years ago and more recently, Voice for Business. We’ve grown substantially, but remain family owned and operated (now third generation) and we employ many talented local people at our Springfield and Greenfield facilities. We work hard everyday to provide outstanding, reliable communication services for our clients.

As we complete the behind-the-scenes technical aspects of this transfer of ownership, your services should not be interrupted. You will be able to keep your @mapinternet.com email addresses and your monthly charge for service will remain the same.

A member of our Sales Team or Client Care will be contacting you to make introductions in the coming weeks if you have a business account. DSL users will be contacted by Ben or Jay to help you reconfigure the DSL connection information on your computers. In the meantime, if you have any needs or concerns of a technical nature, please call us right away. Client Support Contact information is listed in the column on the right.

If you’d like to know more about Crocker Communications services, please take a few moments to browse our website.

Welcome to the Crocker Family of Business, we’re looking forward to meeting you soon.
